Bergman AS, our dealer and partner in Norway, participates regularly at the annual Winter-Meetings organized by the Norwegian Biochemical Society (NBS). 

This year the 47th Contact Meeting took place in the Radisson Blue Hotel in Tromsö, in the upper north part of Norway. The Winter-Meetings are always a mixture of scientific talks, poster sessions and a small exhibition. Bergman AS highlighted our new Synergy H1 Hybrid Multi-mode Reader at their booth and we increased the attraction by placing a new rollup zap banner showing the Hybrid readers SH1 and SH4. Great tool. Many thanks to the MarCom group in the U.S. for preparing this banner just in time.

In addition I was invited to give a lecture called "Hybrid Technology™ MultiMode Microplate Readers - the key to wide application coverage". Many thanks to Peter Banks, who prepared a great PowerPoint presentation covering three major and different reading techniques using our Hybrid readers:

·         Absorbance/Fluorescence using the Take3 Plate. 

·         Signal Transduction with AlphaScreen® SureFire® using the spectral filters of Synergy H4. 

·         Live Cell Analysis with CELLestial® Fluorescent Dyes using the monochromator part of Synergy H4.

The mini symposium was visited by approximately 50 attendees and many customers started to talk about "Hybrid" after this symposium. Most of the participants also wanted to see the new "revolutionary" tool, our Take3 Plate and learn how to use this plate within our readers. Especially, existing Nanodrop users were dissatisfied with their Nanodrops and they've heard very positive "rumors" from Epoch/Take3 users about the great performance of our Multi-Volume systems.  

The show was very well organized. Most of the 300 attendees walked through the exhibition halls during the coffee and lunch breaks and we were able to generate a lot of new leads for the Epoch and the Synergy's.
